Students can choose their specialization—Food Science and Nutrition or Textile and Clothing—from the second year It offers flexibility through Major, Minor, and various elective courses, promoting an interdisciplinary approach. In alignment with NEP 2020, students can choose their specialization—Food Science and Nutrition or Textile and Clothing—from the second year. The program also provides multiple exit options and prepares students for higher education and diverse career opportunities with advantage of direct admission to PG II Year in relevant specialisation.

M.Sc. Food Science & Nutrition

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility: M.Sc. FSN- Eligibility- Students with a minimum 50% or B Grade in B.Sc. in Food Science and B.Sc. (Home Science), BSc (Food Science & Quality Control), BSc Life Sciences, MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BDS, B Pharm.

Intake: 24

The MSc in Food Science and Nutrition is a research-based program that develops knowledge in food composition, processing, quality control, and nutrition. Over two years, students learn about nutritional needs across the life cycle, food safety, and product development. Through seminars, workshops, industrial visits, internships, and research projects, students gain practical exposure for careers in food industries, research, public health nutrition, and quality assurance. The program also provides training in research methods and analytical techniques, preparing students for opportunities in national and international sectors

M.Sc. Dietetics

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility:Students with a minimum 60% or B Grade in B.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics / Nutrition and Dietetics / Food Science and Nutrition / Home Science (Food and Nutrition specialization) or other relevant life science such as) Bachelor of Science in Nursing/ Physiotherapy/ or M.B.B.S., B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B. Pharm backgrounds are eligible as per university norms.

Intake: 24

The master’s program (Dietetics) aims to empower students with essential skills in diet planning applying the dietary guidelines. During the two years programme, students will gain adequate exposure to plan diets for normal or modified nutritional requirements through the life cycle, different clinical conditions and for athletes. Seminars, workshops and internship equip students to be placed in hospital or food service settings. For those interested in research, the course provides training in nutrition research methods and techniques. These skills make them eligible for a career in national and international food sectors, public health nutrition agencies and organizations.
